Privacy policy
We collect little, we say so, and we erase on schedule.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is the company publishing this site, currently being incorporated. Its identity will be published here and in the legal notice as soon as it is registered. Until then, the Auto Maghreb team answers for your data, on the terms described on this page.
The principle
We collect only what the import itself requires. We sell no data, we trade none for advertising purposes, and we run no tracker or analytics tool on the public pages of this site.
Cookies
No cookie is set on the public pages — no analytics, no advertising, no social network. That is also why you saw no consent banner on arrival. Only one cookie exists on the site, and it is strictly technical: the one that keeps our own team signed in to their management tool.
What we collect
Only what you send us yourself, when you send us a request.
- Your name and phone number
- So we can call you back and follow your case. The phone is our main channel: our customers are far more reliably reachable on WhatsApp than by email.
- Your country of residence and your request
- The country determines which bank details we give you and which import scheme applies. The request contains the vehicle concerned, or your free-text search and your budget.
- Your transfer receipt
- If you pay a deposit, the receipt image you send us carries your name, part of your bank details and an amount. It is the most sensitive data we hold: it is stored in a private space, never publicly reachable, and it is the first thing we erase.
How long we keep it
The clock starts when your case is closed, never when it is opened: an import takes months, and an ongoing case is never erased, however old it is.
- Transfer receipt: 12 months after the case is closed.
- Rejected receipt: 3 months after the rejection.
- Request and reservation: 36 months after the case is closed.
- Request that never went anywhere: 24 months without any activity at all.
These periods are provisional and undergoing legal review. That review can only shorten them, never extend them without telling you.
Who has access
- Our team, to handle your case.
- The customs broker and the customs authorities, for the information their clearance of your vehicle requires — and nothing more.
- Nobody else. No data is sold, rented or passed on to an advertiser, a broker or a commercial partner.
Where your data is stored
Our hosting providers are located in the United States. Your data is therefore processed outside the European Union and outside Algeria. We chose them for the security of their infrastructure, and access is restricted to the members of our team who need it.
Your rights
At any time, and without having to justify yourself, you can ask us for:
- a copy of everything we hold about you;
- correction of any inaccurate information;
- erasure of your data, provided no case is ongoing;
- an end to any contact from us.
Write to us: we answer within thirty days, and erasure is immediate as soon as it is possible.
Write to us
The contact address will be published together with the company’s registration details. In the meantime, use the request form or the number shown on the vehicle pages.
